Dramatic red sandstone fin formations, open slickrock traverses, and ridge views. Well-marked, moderate technical difficulty — exciting without being extreme. Not on the prohibited list. ✓
From Moab Adventure Center:
  1. South on Main St, left on 300 S, left on 400 E → becomes Sand Flats Road
  2. Follow ~2.5 miles — pay $5 at the kiosk
  3. Fins N' Things trailhead on the right, well-signed
  4. ~12–15 min from Adventure Center

Gemini Bridges
Distance: ~14 miles RT
Time: ~2.5 hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Fee: Free (BLM land)
Two massive natural stone bridges arching over a canyon — a genuine destination trail. The drive out on the 2-track dirt road is the trail; the bridges themselves are the payoff. Dramatic and scenic. Free BLM land, not on the prohibited list. ✓
From Fins N' Things (~30 min drive):
  1. Back out Sand Flats Road to US-191
  2. North on US-191 ~10 miles
  3. Left (west) on US-313 ~1.5 miles
  4. Gemini Bridges trailhead on the left, signed

⚠ Eat lunch from the cooler between trails or at the Gemini Bridges trailhead — saves 30+ min Gemini Bridges → Arches entrance: US-313 E back to US-191 S, ~15 min
ATB Pass at Arches: Arches charges per vehicle — all 5 passengers in the Jeep are covered by Marty's pass. Marty must be present in the vehicle when presenting the pass. Show the digital pass on his phone. No copies or photos of the pass are permitted per the pass rules.
🏜 Arches NP — 5 Stops (~3 Hours) (1:45 – 4:45 PM)

Three hours in the park. Speed limit 35 mph. Five stops in road order — no backtracking. Exit by ~5:10pm, return Jeep by ~5:30pm with 30 min to spare.

3,577-ton rock balanced on a narrow pedestal. 0.3-mile easy loop around the base — great first stop after the trails.

10 miles from entrance, 2.5-mi spur · ~10 min from Balanced Rock
Best stop in the park for a time-limited visit. 1.0-mile paved loop: Turret Arch, North Window, South Window. Flat, paved, impressive from every angle.

0.3-mile walk from the Windows lot. Two arches sharing one anchor point — you walk beneath both of them. Don't leave the Windows parking without doing this one.

Delicate Arch — Lower Viewpoint
13 miles from entrance · ~5 min drive from Windows
The full hike is 3 miles — not today's plan. The Lower Viewpoint is an easy 0.5-mile walk giving a clear sightline to the arch framed against the canyon. Worth the 30-minute stop.

Sand Dune Arch
16.5 miles from entrance · ~6 min from Delicate Arch
Quick and genuinely different — 0.3-mile walk through deep soft red sand to an arch tucked between two sandstone fins. Unusual texture and feel compared to every other stop today. Short and worth it.

Do In This Exact Order

Gas Station (~5:15 PM) — Fill the tank before washing. Several stations on Main St / US-191. Required; they'll charge you if returned low.

Car Wash (~5:25 PM) — Car wash is directly next to Moab Adventure Center at 225 S Main St. Wash the exterior before returning — they inspect it and it's required under the rental terms.

Return Jeep (~5:40 PM) — Park outside Moab Adventure Center, go in to the Canyonlands Jeep Rental counter. Confirmed order #2585024. ~20 minutes before the 6pm hard deadline — don't linger.
